Are you ready to achieve your Registered Sign Language Interpreter status?
Then this 1 year programme will enable you to register as a RSLI through successful completion of the qualification assessments.
Suitable for candidates who have already completed an Interpreter Training Programme and are ready after some refresher sessions to compile their coursework file.
It will take place over 18 days, 2 days a month over 10 months and is predominantly an assessment programme where we support you to compile your coursework file which after successful completion enables you to register as a Registered Sign Language Interpreter at the end. We deliver refresher sessions on a range of topics throughout the programme to ensure you are all equipped to undertake the assessments.
You’ll be assessed through a mixture of observation, essays, multiple-choice exams and written assignments, which will be marked by a combination of your Teacher-Assessors, iBSL and other qualified witnesses. Plus you will need a handful of clips as evidence of your interpreting performance, for your coursework file. But don’t worry! We take the stress away by providing many of these assessed interpreting activities within the programme days. You’ll only be required to provide 3 of your own pieces of evidence from your own interpreting work.
Potential students will need to attend an Information and Selection Day at the Remark! offices in London.
Candidates will also need to have attended an Interpreter Training Programme (or equivalent) to ensure they have understanding of all the under-pinning theory.
Our next Information and Selection day will take place on Thursday 25th January 2018 for our 2018 Programme.
